Look at Mother Nature on the run in the 20th Century.
A bit of a rewrite from Neil’s original lyrics. But like their version. Beautifully perfect!

This is I think my second post regarding this quaint town in a different time indeed.
Rumor has it, it’s a real, earthly place in Ohio somewhere. That’s nice I guess but I’ll take the imagined. You’re wondering about this Willoughby place? It’s a Twilight Zone episode. And like the Twilight Zone, it seems to always appear at a most interesting time… in time itself.
I came in this evening from a deep trip inside, out at the beach. I said goodnight to my beautiful wife and saw just enough of the show to fire some neurons that haven’t seen a spark in a long time. I had to leave the room. Like the deadly joke from Monty Python, I’d nearly seen too much.
Willoughby! Never been there but I know the place better than the back of my hand. It’s anywhere you may happen to be. At the right time.
This whole virus thing is dragging me down mentally. Am I worried about my wife, son or myself? No, we’re all healthy and fit. Am I worried about my Mom and a few other relatives? Immensely. And I know some of them feel no different. They have good reason to be a little more than concerned.
Taking off my blinders though is what scares me the most. The greed, the selfishness. The social breakdown. Had it happened over time it would still be as evil I guess but 2 weeks! Normalcy and then panic. It’s crazy. Call them fool’s… whatever, it doesn’t matter. It’s here and it’s real.
I’ve dealt with anxiety since I was a kid. I just figured it was what everyone did and worked through. These past few years I’ve been fighting it’s bigger brother depression. A little older, possibly a little wiser, I’ve come to the realization that none of it ever was, or is normal. I just want a single day of no worries, a night of no nightmares. Just one please.
I wish it all upon no one. I wish it would just all go away. It’s all consuming. It tears your mind apart like black hole. It confuses, it’s just horrific.
Please, let me have a real smile.
Please?
At 62, I’m experiencing my first Christmas without you. No more handshakes, no more hugs. It’s an empty feeling. Wherever you may be, I hope loneliness isn’t something that exists.
I love You! 73 W4ZCB. I sure miss you.
During a robbery in Guangzhou, China, the bank robber shouted to everyone in the bank: “Don’t move. The money belongs to the State. Your life belongs to you.”
Everyone in the bank laid down quietly. This is called “Mind Changing Concept” Changing the conventional way of thinking.
When a lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her: “Please be civilized! This is a robbery and not a rape!”
This is called “Being Professional” Focus only on what you are trained to do!
When the bank robbers returned home, the younger robber (MBA-trained) told the older robber (who has only completed Year 6 in primary school): “Big brother, let’s count how much we got.”
The older robber rebutted and said: “You are very stupid. There is so much money it will take us a long time to count. Tonight, the TV news will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!”
This is called “Experience.” Nowadays, experience is more important than paper qualifications!
After the robbers had left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. But the supervisor said to him: “Wait! Let us take out $10 million from the bank for ourselves and add it to the $70 million that we have previously embezzled from the bank”.
This is called “Swim with the tide.” Converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage!
The supervisor says: “It will be good if there is a robbery every month.”
This is called “Killing Boredom.” Personal Happiness is more important than your job.
The next day, the TV news reported that $100 million was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count $20 million. The robbers were very angry and complained: “We risked our lives and only took $20 million. The bank manager took $80 million with a snap of his fingers. It looks like it is better to be educated than to be a thief!”
This is called “Knowledge is worth as much as gold!”
The bank manager was smiling and happy because his losses in the share market are now covered by this robbery.
This is called “Seizing the opportunity.” Daring to take risks!
So who are the real robbers here?
It’s a very difficult time here in my mind. I look back and cherish every last minute we had together. We were both wise enough to let each other know our thoughts before you left. I miss you so very much.
